FAQ

How long does grooming take?
I do my best to be as fast as possible however I also believe it is important to take my time and get it right. Additionally, if your pet is anxious I like to give a few breaks. Hand scissoring and dematting, for example, also add significant amount of time to the groom. On average each groom takes between 2 to 4 hours.

If my dog is matted do I need to shave him?
I do my best to not shave dogs and less the owner insists. Unfortunately, combing out a matted dog is painful and very time-consuming as well as dangerous. It is always a case-by-case basis

Can I stay with my pet?
My salon is quite small and not designed for visitors. Additionally, pets become more agitated when their loved ones are in viewing distance. This could become dangerous for your pet has the equipment being used is quite sharp. One of the added features to my salon services is I send pictures throughout the groom and pet sitting visits.

How do you dry the pets?
I only use a high velocity blow dryer. I never use the cage dryer on your pet.

Can you pick up The pets for grooming at odd hours?
Yes I can begin picking up dogs and cats as early as 7 AM.

How often should my pet be groomed?
Typically I recommend every 6 to 8 weeks to keep the coat clean, healthy, and matte-free. This can also reduce dry skin problems.

Do you crate pets while visiting your salon?
Almost never. If I am working on another dog, your dog would be allowed to roam the salon and yard freely. Only if the dog is not comfortable doing so would he be put in a crate. For pet sitting visit's dogs will be crated overnight.
